Edith Piaf Museum

museum

The Edith Piaf Museum occupies two small rooms in a private apartment on the rue Crespin du Gast. A yellow sign marks the entrance to this former home of the singer, where Bernard Marchois, a dedicated fan, began collecting her personal belongings in the nineteen sixties. Silk dresses, stage shoes, and even a teddy bear she carried for luck fill the cramped space. Piaf lived here during the nineteen thirties, just as she started her rapid climb to national fame.
