Passage Lhomme is a narrow, quiet alleyway tucked behind the busy streets of the eleventh arrondissement, marked by a rusted iron gate and a collection of aging, low-slung workshops. It retains the character of an eighteenth-century artisan courtyard. For generations, this passage hosted carpenters, cabinetmakers, and piano restorers who relied on the deep, narrow spaces to house their heavy equipment. One woodworker kept a large, antique lathe running here until well into the twenty-first century, long after similar workshops vanished elsewhere in Paris.
