Giacometti Institute

The Giacometti Institute occupies a private mansion in the Montparnasse district, recognizable by its glass-roofed studio reconstruction. Alberto Giacometti spent decades working in a tiny, dusty space nearby, creating his signature elongated, fragile bronze figures. After his death, his widow Annette saved the original furniture, tools, and scribbled drawings from the studio walls. Today, those pieces sit arranged exactly as they were in the nineteen sixties, offering a view of how the artist lived and shaped his works.
