The Galerie Patrick Seguin occupies a steel and glass structure designed by Jean Prouvé in nineteen sixty-seven. It was originally built as a prototype for a gas station in the French provinces. The building consists of a central steel mast supporting a cantilevered roof, an arrangement intended to allow easy movement for cars. Patrick Seguin moved this dismantled structure to the Bastille neighborhood in the early two thousands to house his collection of twentieth century furniture and architectural designs.
