Alhambra (Paris)

The Alhambra on rue de Malte wears a distinctive, sleek glass facade that hides the echoes of a much louder history. Originally opened in eighteen sixty-six as a music hall, it drew massive crowds to watch tightrope walkers, acrobats, and famous singers like Maurice Chevalier perform under its iron roof. The venue burned down and transformed multiple times over the decades, eventually operating as a cinema before being demolished in nineteen sixty-seven. Today, the modern structure serves as a dedicated concert hall.
