Chez Prune features a distinct, faded red facade with wide, folding glass doors that open directly onto the corner of the Rue de Lancry. It began as a traditional neighborhood café in the early twentieth century, serving local dock workers and merchants who frequented the canal. By the late nineties, the establishment became a magnet for the artists and young professionals who moved into the area, transforming the space into a crowded, dimly lit hub for conversation and long, lingering glasses of wine.
