Pavillon de l'Arsenal

The Pavillon de l'Arsenal sits near the Seine as a narrow, red-brick building with tall, arched windows and a prominent clock face. Built in eighteen seventy-eight, it served as a private mansion for a businessman and art collector named Laurent-Louis Borniche. He filled the rooms with his expansive collection of paintings and sculptures. Today, the city uses the space to document the history and architecture of Paris, keeping massive scale models of the streets on the main floor.
