Tombe de Jane Birkin

Jane Birkin rests within the Montparnasse Cemetery in the eleventh division of the grounds. Her final resting place is shared with her eldest daughter, the photographer Kate Barry, who passed away in 2013. Jane Birkin, an English-born icon who became a beloved fixture of French culture, requested to be interred alongside her daughter after her own death in 2023. While she is buried here with Kate, the cemetery also serves as the final home for many other notable figures, including her long-time partner and collaborator, Serge Gainsbourg, who is buried in a different section of the same cemetery.
