Clemenceau Museum

The Clemenceau Museum is located in the apartment where the French statesman Georges Clemenceau lived for thirty-five years, from eighteen ninety-five until his death in nineteen twenty-nine. This residence was not just a home, but a strategic hub where he navigated the most turbulent periods of the Third Republic, including the Dreyfus Affair and the First World War. He famously refused to live in official government palaces, preferring the modest surroundings of this ground-floor flat on Rue Benjamin Franklin. The museum preserves his living space exactly as it appeared on the day he died, offering a rare, intimate look at the private life of the man nicknamed the Tiger.
