Truillot Garden

The Jardin Truillot sits behind a high stone wall, marked by a series of long, tiered wooden benches that terrace down toward the central lawn. This public garden occupies what remained of a private nineteenth-century estate that survived the dense urbanization of the Oberkampf neighborhood. For decades, the space stayed hidden behind locked gates and overgrown trees. The city eventually cleared the brush, dismantled the old walls, and opened the grounds to the public as a dedicated green corridor for the surrounding streets.
