Ateliers-musée Chana Orloff

The building at seven bis Villa Seurat serves as a rare, preserved time capsule of the Parisian avant-garde. Architect Auguste Perret designed this structure in nineteen twenty-six specifically for the sculptor Chana Orloff. It represents the first time Perret used an exposed reinforced concrete frame for a single-family studio home. He prioritized functional clarity, featuring a street-level bay window to flood the workspace with light and a mezzanine gallery that allowed visitors to view Orloff's sculptures from above.
