Marionnettes du Parc Montsouris

cultural

The Marionnettes du Parc Montsouris began its life in nineteen thirty as a dedicated stage for the traditional puppet character Guignol. While many puppet theaters in Paris operate as open-air venues susceptible to the elements, this theater resides within a permanent, enclosed chalet. This structure allows the performances to continue throughout the entire year, regardless of the season or the weather. Inside, the space features an Art Deco design and rows of small, red leather club chairs that provide a distinct, vintage atmosphere for young spectators. The theater has been under the direction of the Rank family since nineteen eighty-two, maintaining a focus on bringing classic tales and original stories to life for families visiting the park.
