This small square on the Place du General Catroux represents a significant historical reclamation for Lithuania in the heart of Paris. It sits directly opposite a building that once served as the Lithuanian embassy between nineteen twenty-five and nineteen forty. That period of diplomatic presence ended abruptly with the Soviet occupation of Lithuania, and for decades, the site of the former legation remained a poignant reminder of lost sovereignty.
