Musée Nissim de Camondo

The Musée Nissim de Camondo stands as a private residence from the early twentieth century that feels frozen in time. While the rooms are filled with the elegant furniture and fine porcelain of the eighteenth century, the house itself was built between 1911 and 1914 by Count Moïse de Camondo. He designed this mansion to mirror the Petit Trianon at Versailles, hoping it would serve as a grand, permanent legacy for his family. He intended for his son, Nissim, to inherit the home and the massive collection of art he had painstakingly assembled.
