The building you are approaching is the only museum in Paris designed and constructed by a British artist. Roy Adzak, a sculptor and photographer who originally trained as a civil engineer, built this four-story wooden structure in the early nineteen eighties to serve as both his studio and a container for his experiments with light, volume, and form. He envisioned the space as a living laboratory for his work, which frequently focused on the interplay between physical objects and their empty, negative impressions.
