The Hôtel de Pourtalès features a heavy stone façade decorated with intricate neo-Renaissance carvings and a pair of massive, carved wooden doors. Built in the eighteen thirties for Count James-Alexandre de Pourtalès, the mansion served as a gallery for his vast collection of antiquities. While the count held lavish musical salons here, the building later gained notoriety when it was converted into high-end, private apartments, briefly serving as the target of a high-profile armed robbery involving reality television celebrity Kim Kardashian in twenty sixteen.
