Pavillon Ledoyen

The Pavillon Ledoyen sits in the Carré des Ambassadeurs as a neoclassical building featuring a prominent white stone facade and a grand terrace overlooking the gardens. Pierre-Michel Doyen opened a small wooden guinguette here in seventeen ninety-one, drawing crowds who danced and drank wine near the river. When Napoleon Bonaparte redesigned the area, he allowed the structure to remain. It transitioned into a restaurant for the city's elite, hosting guests like Napoleon the Third and painters who captured the lush surroundings on canvas.
