The Jardin du Souvenir here on Place Saint-Gervais serves as a dedicated space of remembrance for the victims of the terrorist attacks that took place in Paris on November 13, 2015. Inaugurated exactly ten years after that tragedy, the garden was designed to offer a quiet, contemplative atmosphere in the heart of the city, located just behind the Hôtel de Ville. Its layout and features were developed through a close collaboration between city officials, landscape architects, and associations representing the survivors and the families of the victims. The space functions as a living tribute, using stones, plants, and careful lighting to foster a sense of collective resilience and shared memory.
