Before it became a formal theater, this location served as a festive pavilion, an amusement park, and even a roller skating rink. It was not until eighteen ninety-one that the structure was repurposed as the Nouveau-Théâtre, eventually adopting its current name in nineteen nineteen after a change in ownership.
