Place Falguiere serves as a gateway to an extraordinary chapter of Parisian art history. This area takes its name from Alexandre Falguiere, a nineteenth-century sculptor who earned great renown for his realistic and robust style. While his own work included prestigious public commissions for the Paris Opera, he became a central figure for a much wider community of creative people who eventually settled in the streets surrounding this site.
