The Gioras Wood Medieval Mykonian Bakery occupies a building that has stood for over four centuries, distinguished by the thick, lime-washed stone walls typical of old island architecture. Inside, the original wood-burning oven still dominates the space, fueled by dried brushwood gathered from the island hills. Gioras, the baker who keeps the fire going, uses techniques passed down through generations to bake bread, honey pies, and rusks. The oven remains the heart of the structure, working exactly as it did in seventeen hundred.
