Lena's House Folk Museum

museum

The Lena’s House Folk Museum is a nineteenth-century town house identified by its authentic whitewashed exterior and the traditional wooden balcony overlooking the narrow street. This building belonged to the Skrivanou family, a wealthy merchant clan who furnished the rooms with period heirlooms, woven textiles, and hand-carved furniture. When the last resident, Lena, passed away, the house remained exactly as she kept it. The museum preserves the private, interior world of a nineteenth-century Mykonian middle-class family exactly as they lived.
