Fuglen Tokyo

Fuglen Tokyo occupies a wooden structure with a distinct red bird logo on the glass, a nod to its origins in Oslo, Norway. When it opened in twenty-twelve, it brought the Nordic style of light-roast coffee to Shibuya, a neighborhood then defined by darker, heavy roasts. Einar Kleppe Holthe founded this branch to bridge Japanese tea culture with Scandinavian coffee traditions. He chose the location specifically for its quiet corner, far enough from the neon rush to keep the focus on the cup.
