L'BLASSA ART SPACE

other

L'Blassa Art Space sits behind a weathered, mustard-yellow facade on the Rue de la Liberté. Before it became a gallery for contemporary Moroccan artists, this building served as a cinema in the nineteen thirties, back when Guéliz functioned as the colonial hub of the city. The original projection booth still lingers near the ceiling inside. While the films stopped playing decades ago, the space now hosts exhibitions that grapple with the shifting identity of urban Morocco.
