Poste Centrale

The Poste Centrale in Guéliz features a prominent, rectangular clock tower that rises above the surrounding neighborhood streets. French architect Auguste Cadet designed this building in nineteen twenty-eight to serve as the primary post office for the growing colonial district. He integrated traditional Moroccan geometric patterns into a functional, modern administrative structure. While the city around it has expanded significantly, the building remains a clock-watching landmark for residents who meet in the square below to catch the chime on the hour.
