The Kadikoy Ferry Terminal sits at the edge of the Marmara Sea, recognizable by its distinct, green-tiled roof and the arched windows that line its facade. Built in nineteen thirteen, the terminal serves as a gateway between the Asian and European sides of Istanbul. Architect Tahsin Sermet designed the structure to accommodate the growing number of commuters using the sea routes. Daily, thousands of passengers pass through these halls, keeping the original purpose of the terminal alive for over a century.
