The Moda Aile Çay Bahçesi sits on the very edge of the peninsula, marked by its expansive, white-painted wooden railings and rows of simple, metal-frame chairs facing the Marmara Sea. Since the early twentieth century, this garden has occupied the point where the land abruptly drops into the water. In nineteen seventy-four, the local municipality took over management, shifting it from a private club into a public space where residents spend hours watching the ferries navigate toward the islands.
