Diana Memorial Playground

The Diana Memorial Playground stands on the northwest corner of Kensington Gardens, occupying a site with a long history of play. Long before this memorial existed, the author of Peter Pan, J. M. Barrie, donated a children's playground to this exact spot. The current, more elaborate design continues that tradition, drawing direct inspiration from the magical world of Neverland. A full-scale wooden pirate ship sits at the center, serving as a landmark for young visitors just as it did in the stories that once graced these grounds.
