The Perseverance

The Perseverance stands on the corner of Lamb's Conduit Street and Great Ormond Street, anchored by a history that stretches back to the early eighteenth century. For most of its life, local residents and hospital staff knew this building as The Sun, a name it held until the mid two thousands. If you look closely at the architecture today, you can still see the remnants of its nineteenth-century refronting, which includes a distinct curved stucco corner treatment that was designed to catch the eye of passersby during the Victorian era.
