Borough Road Gallery

The Borough Road Gallery is a dedicated home for the legacy of the painter David Bomberg and the group of artists he mentored. Located at London South Bank University, the gallery occupies the very site where Bomberg taught at the former Borough Polytechnic between nineteen forty-five and nineteen fifty-three. It houses the Sarah Rose Collection, which features over one hundred and fifty works by Bomberg and his pupils, collectively known as the Borough Group. This collection was assembled over thirty years by an independent collector before being placed in trust at the university to ensure these significant post-war pieces remained accessible to the public.
