Quintin and Alice Hogg Memorial

This scene commemorates the man who dedicated his personal fortune to the education of London's underprivileged youth. In his younger years, Hogg went to extreme lengths to understand the lives of the poor he sought to help, once disguising himself as a shoeblack and sleeping rough on the city streets to experience their daily reality firsthand. He eventually founded the Regent Street Polytechnic, an institution that provided trade classes and social support to thousands, which today lives on as the University of Westminster.
