Equestrian statue of Robert Napier

The bronze equestrian statue standing before you depicts Field Marshal Robert Napier, 1st Baron Napier of Magdala. Created in 1891 by the sculptor Joseph Edgar Boehm, the work features Napier in his military uniform, famously captured holding a pair of binoculars. This statue is a near-identical replica of an original monument that was erected in Kolkata, India.
