Old Hall

The Old Hall at Lincoln's Inn is the oldest surviving building within this historic legal enclave, dating back to around fourteen ninety. It served as the heart of the institution for centuries, functioning as a space for barristers and students to eat, debate, and hold their revels. Sir Thomas More, who joined the Inn in fourteen ninety-six, spent much of his professional life within these walls. The hall remains a rare, tangible link to the late fifteenth century, having survived despite various remodels and even a significant reconstruction in the nineteen twenties to stabilize its failing timber roof.
