Asia House

You are standing before sixty three New Cavendish Street, an elegant Georgian townhouse that masks a deeply layered history behind its understated facade. While the building appears as a standard aristocratic residence from the late eighteenth century, its construction was a collaborative struggle between some of the era's most famous minds. The project was initiated by the Scottish architects Robert and James Adam, whose vision for neo-classical design defined much of London's prestige, but they abandoned the work in seventeen seventy-five to focus on other grand commissions. The task of finishing the house fell to the architect John Johnson, who managed to complete the structure while incorporating exquisite interior details, including bespoke bookcases crafted by the renowned Sir John Soane.
