Potrero Generating Station

The Potrero Generating Station sits on a stretch of San Francisco waterfront that served as the engine for the city's growth for over a century. Long before it became a decommissioned industrial relic, this site was home to the city's first electrical generator, established around 1890 to power the gas lighting and burgeoning industries of the era.
