Marin Street station

The Marin Street light rail station sits directly in the median of Third Street, serving as a primary transit link for the historic Bayview district. It opened to the public in April 2007 as part of the T Third Street line, a major infrastructure project that reconnected this neighborhood to the rest of San Francisco via modern rail. The station features two side platforms, with the northbound side positioned just south of Marin Street and the southbound side located just to the north. While it is officially named Marin Street, many transit maps and local signage also refer to it as Islais Creek, a nod to the nearby waterway that has defined the industrial geography of this shoreline for over a century.
