Historic PG&E Smokestack

The massive brick smokestack you see ahead is a three hundred foot tall relic of San Francisco's industrial past. It served as a prominent exhaust point for the Potrero Power Station, a facility that powered much of the city's electrical grid for over a century. Long after the station stopped generating electricity in two thousand eleven, this chimney remained standing as a deliberate anchor for the site's future.
