SF Masonic Auditorium

The San Francisco Masonic Auditorium stands as a striking example of mid-century modern architecture on Nob Hill. Designed by architect Albert Roller and opened in 1958, the building serves as the official headquarters for the Masons of California. While its upper floors contain administrative offices and a library dedicated to the history of Freemasonry, the street-level auditorium has evolved into one of the city's premier concert venues. The structure replaced the organization's earlier headquarters, which had relocated to this site after their previous home in the Financial District served the group for forty-five years.
