Russian Center of San Francisco

cultural

The Russian Center of San Francisco serves as a pillar for the city's Slavic community and operates out of a distinctive building that dates back to nineteen eleven. While the community established the center as a nonprofit organization in nineteen thirty-nine, they acquired this specific structure to provide a permanent home for the preservation of their heritage, language, and arts. The building features an Art Deco facade and contains a large ballroom and theater that have hosted generations of cultural events, from folk dance performances to operas.
