Jackson Playground Park

Jackson Playground is a prominent community hub in the Potrero Hill district that traces its origins back to the Van Ness Ordinances of eighteen fifty-five. For over seventy-five years, the site was known as Jackson Square, though it remained largely undeveloped during that time. By the early twentieth century, the space began its transformation into the active neighborhood recreation center that residents use today.
