Fireboat House

The Fireboat House at Pier 22 and a half is a rare survivor from the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition. When the fair concluded, this building was salvaged from the grounds in the Marina District and moved by barge to its current spot along the Embarcadero. Its interiors still feature the original iron spiral staircase and brass fire poles, standing as a quiet remnant of the city's early twentieth-century architecture.
