Jungle Plaza

park garden

Jungle Plaza features a massive, open-air canopy of translucent, overlapping leaves that filter the harsh Miami sun into soft, shifting patterns on the ground. Architects at Sou Fujimoto designed this steel structure to mimic the layered forest floor while providing a protected space for public events. Before this canopy went up, the ground here was just an empty gravel lot used for overflow parking. Today, the space hosts farmers markets, fashion shows, and casual gatherings under its synthetic tree line.
