The Moore building features a massive, four-story central atrium crisscrossed by concrete archways that hold up the entire structure. Originally built in nineteen twenty-one, the space served as the headquarters for the Moore and Sons furniture company. Architects designed the cavernous interior to allow for the easy movement of large crates and showroom displays. Today, the furniture has vanished, but the skeleton of those industrial transit paths remains, creating a vertical maze of open balconies that overlook the main floor.
