Chef Creole Seasoned Restaurant

Chef Creole Seasoned Restaurant is defined by the oversized, bright yellow sign featuring a cartoon caricature of its founder, Wilkinson Sejour, wearing a chef's hat and holding a platter of food. Sejour, a Haitian immigrant who arrived in Miami in the early nineteen eighties, started by selling conch fritters and snapper from a small cooler. He opened this permanent spot in Buena Vista to serve the traditional Creole recipes he learned from his mother, eventually feeding local musicians and neighborhood residents alike.
