Martinique New York on Broadway, Curio Collection by Hilton

historic

The Martinique New York on Broadway was designed by Henry Janeway Hardenbergh, the same architect responsible for the Plaza Hotel and the Dakota. He looked to the grand chateaus of the Loire Valley in France for inspiration, creating a structure defined by its rusticated stonework, balconies, and a distinctive, towering green mansard roof. The building was constructed in three separate phases between eighteen ninety-seven and nineteen eleven to keep pace with the rapid commercial expansion of Midtown Manhattan.
