St. Vartan Armenian Apostolic Cathedral

St. Vartan Armenian Apostolic Cathedral serves as the first cathedral of the Armenian Apostolic Church ever constructed in North America. Its design draws direct inspiration from the Saint Hripsime Church in Armenia, which has stood since the seventh century. The building reflects this ancient heritage through its use of double intersecting arches, a structural technique that spans the interior without the need for support columns. This creates a wide, open space designed to allow the entire congregation an unobstructed view of the altar.
