The space you are approaching started its life as the grand Art Deco ballroom of the Hotel Edison when the building opened in 1931. Thomas Edison personally flipped the switch to illuminate the hotel during its opening ceremony. For decades, this room functioned as a primary social hub for the hotel, hosting elegant gatherings and big-band performances. It eventually shifted roles, transforming into the Edison Theatre in the early 1970s and becoming a part of Broadway history for nearly two decades.
