Turkish House

The thirty-six story glass tower directly across from the United Nations headquarters is known as the Turkish House, or Turkevi Center. Its most distinct architectural feature is the silhouette of its crown, which is shaped specifically to resemble a tulip, the national flower of Turkey. The building’s entire exterior facade utilizes a series of swooping, curved lines intentionally designed to mirror the crescent shape found on the Turkish flag.
