Central Park

Central Park in Samarkand is defined by a massive, colorful archway that serves as the primary entrance to the grounds. This space occupies land once used for the city’s early Soviet-era administrative developments before being transformed into a dedicated public garden. During the park's early years, local planners insisted on keeping rows of mature trees from the previous site, creating an unusually dense canopy that shades the pathways. It remains the central green gathering point for the residents of the city.
