Rukhobod Mausoleum

The Rukhobod Mausoleum is a small, single-domed brick structure with an entrance framed by a band of blue tiles. Built in thirteen eighty-two by Amir Timur, it serves as the final resting place for Sheikh Burhaneddin Sagarji, a highly respected Islamic scholar from the East. Legend says that Timur held the Sheikh in such high regard that he always stood whenever his name was mentioned. The plain exterior hides a quiet, austere interior where people still come to pay their respects today.
